The Japan Kominka Association US Office organizes a variety of online and in-person activities and events throughout the year in order to:

■ share information, materials, and resources about the history and culture of Japanese folk houses.
■ pass on traditional building techniques through workshops and collaborative projects.
■ provide opportunities for old folk houses to be used as venues for art, music, and other cultural events.
■ work together to restore kominka in Japan and relocated kominka overseas.
